So this incredibly odd looking trend all started with a post from a popular Instagram makeup artist:
Legitimately used a glue stick to split her eyebrow through the center so that it looks like a feather or actual caterpillar. Natural brows are one thing, but this looks like a disaster happened while you were sleeping
And people REALLY followed up on it:
